Note: This device will not remove the MDM or DEP profile. It will not change the serial number on your Mac.
Skills:
For models with SAM connectors: No soldering needed. Open the back cover and use the SAM connectors. (Bare motherboard is not supported with SAM connectors. Connect Mac to power and battery when using SAM connectors.) Power off the Mac by pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds, then use the unlock tool.
For models without SAM connectors: Use the Clamp to unlock SOIC8 chips. (No power or battery needed.) Bare motherboard is supported with Clamp connector.
WSON8 chips: Advanced soldering skills required. Disassemble your Mac, remove the EFI chip from the motherboard, solder the chip to the Adapter Board to unlock, then solder the chip back to the motherboard after the unlock is finished.
After each unlock, you will need to reset the PRAM.
